What to Expect

When you come to St. John’s, you can expect to be welcomed into a friendly, lively environment by people who are genuinely interested in and excited to see you. Ushers will give you two handouts, one for the liturgy which we read together and the other our Bible passages which change weekly.  Our 8 AM services last about an hour and thirty minutes, and follow a more traditional Rite I service.

Our 10 AM service is more contemporary, following a Rite II service, filled with great music, and including an inspiring message from the Bible by our Pastor. The Service lasts about 2hrs and includes the passing of the Peace about half way through the service.  Children leave at 10:15 AM and are brought back into the service just before Communion is given.

We welcome you in what’s comfortable for you.  You’ll find everything from casual clothes to hats and suits at our services. Arrive a few minutes early or stay a few minutes after the service to grab a hot cup of coffee and snack on us!

For Your Kids
Safe, Clean & Fun

St. John’s provides loving care for children 16 and under with programs that will ensure that your child has a ton of fun as they learn about Jesus. Our St. John’s Sunday School team is committed to providing an environment that is safe, clean, and fun for your children while you enjoy the church service.

Nursery

The St. John’s Nursery provides loving care for babies and toddlers up to 4 years old during the 10:00 AM contemporary service. Children older than 4 may attend Sunday School or remain with their parents during the church service.

The Nursery meets with the Sunday School – Outdoors behind the church in good weather, and upstairs in a dedicated Nursery room when it’s raining.

Sunday School

Sunday School is provided for children ages 5-11 during the 10:00 AM service. We offer a Bible based program led by a rotating group of dedicated teachers. In good weather, we meet outside, behind the church, in an area organized for learning and Nursery care. If it is raining, we will meet in our classroom upstairs.

We leave the sanctuary together after the reading of the Gospel around 10:15 AM. Once in class, we follow the Morning Office, sing, learn from the Bible, and pray.

Juniors Bible Study

Once a month, youth from 11-16 are invited to participate in a Bible Study based on that week’s liturgical readings. Youth will exit after the Gospel reading, with the Sunday School, and return before Communion. Our Juniors group meets upstairs, or in the Fellowship room.

Parents’ Note
  • Families are welcome to keep their children with them for worship and teaching in the church setting.
